MICHAEL
VASILEVICH
Actor | Singer | Dancer | Athlete

Hi! I'm Michael Vasilevich (vuh-sil-eh-vich), an athletic triple-threat performer born and raised
on the northwest side of Chicago. Growing up in
the city, I was immediately drawn to performing from a young age and my love for theatre has only grown stronger over time. I’m a recent graduate of Western Michigan University, where I earned
a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre Performance with a Minor in Dance. Some of my favorite past roles include Munkustrap in Cats,
Race in Newsies, Snowboy in West Side Story
and Max in Lend Me a Tenor.
Outside of the theatre, I’m also a 2-time competitor on NBC's American Ninja Warrior, a childhood dream of mine I've been training over
a decade for. You can catch me tackling the world's toughest obstacle course on Season 17 streaming now on Peacock, then stay tuned for my second appearance on Season 18 - airing
June 8th! When I’m not dancing around the
stage or swinging on crazy obstacles, you might find me riding roller coasters, rock climbing, or watching Survivor with my twin sister (I've seen all 50 seasons!).

With athletic physicality, strong dance skills, and excellent comedic timing, I bring versatility, focus, and heart to every performance. I could not be more excited to continue sharing my passion for the stage with audiences everywhere!

I’ve been obsessed with American Ninja Warrior since the moment I first discovered the show at 10 years old. What started as watching the show quickly became building obstacle courses everywhere I went, and dreaming of stepping on to the course one day. I began training and competing competitively at 12, and at 14 I competed on the first season of American Ninja Warrior Junior, placing in the top half of my age group. Since then, I’ve competed in championships across the country, with my proudest achievement being placing 20th in the world in the Pro Division. My childhood dream finally came true last year when I competed on Season 17 of American Ninja Warrior, and I could not be more thrilled to be returning to the course for my second appearance on Season 18, the premiere airing June 8th, 2026!
Ninja Warrior training has shaped how I move, tell stories, and approach physically demanding performances on stage. The crossover between elite athleticism and musical theatre has fueled my work as a performer, allowing me to take risks, commit fully, and bring a bold physical presence to storytelling. Merging these two worlds is something that really excites me, and I love incorporating my athletic abilities on stage in any way I can!
